This role is fundamental to our operations, ensuring that goods are moved, sorted, and prepared for shipment or further processing. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and internal transport systems.
- Move materials to and from designated areas using pallet jacks, dollies, or other equipment.
- Sort and organize materials as directed, ensuring accurate placement and labeling.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock counts and put-away processes.
- Prepare materials for shipping, staging them in appropriate areas.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, free from obstructions.
- Strictly follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Operate basic warehouse machinery and equipment safely.
- Be prepared for regular tasks involving significant lifting and manual handling.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a material handler, warehouse worker, or in a similar role is preferred. Physical strength and stamina to perform manual tasks and regular heavy lifting. Ability to operate pallet jacks and other manual material handling equipment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions. Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles. Good communication and teamwork abilities.
