THE OPPORTUNITY
- Prepare weekly production schedules to ensure optimal output.
- Review daily schedules for completion and make adjustments as needed.
- Manage production jobs from initial planning through to completion on the production floor.
- Reconcile WIP inventory daily, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring all items are accurately accounted for.
- Run the daily MRP report to support timely material transfers for the following day's production.
- Create, release, and close production jobs according to the schedule and ensure they are reflected in the ERP system.
- Work with operations to investigate any discrepancies, including material substitutions.
- Run daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports, analyze results, and correct issues where required.
- Generate weekly expiry reports to support quality and compliance.
- Assist with month‑end closing and year‑end inventory scanning within the ERP system.
- Track daily waste numbers and compile data for weekly reporting.
- Generate and maintain production efficiency reports.
- Act as a liaison between sales, marketing, and production to support specific customer or product requirements.
- Assist IPD by scheduling production tests and trials within the overall production schedule.
THE REQUIREMENTS
- Secondary School diploma
- Read, write and communicate (English)
- 1-3 years of production planning experience, preferably in food manufacturing
- Previous experience in inventory management
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Exceptionally detail oriented, with a proven ability to produce error-free work
- MRP experience would be an asset
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
