SouthWest Dental is a long-standing, reputable dental clinic serving patients across Yarmouth and southwestern Nova Scotia. We are dedicated to delivering comprehensive dental care in a modern, welcoming environment, with a strong focus on preventive, restorative, implant and comprehensive dentistry.
Our team provides care to a large active patient base and sees consistent new patient growth every month. We are currently seeking a full-time associate dentist to join our team and assume responsibility for an existing, fully booked schedule. This is an excellent opportunity to grow clinically while being supported by an experienced and collaborative team.
What We Offer
Full Clinical Scope
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a dentist looking to provide a broad range of core dental procedures. You'll have the chance to regularly perform:
- Basic oral surgery
- Root canal treatments (rotary endo)
- Minor restorative
- Crowns (including CEREC)
- Fixed prosthodontics (crown and bridge)
- Removable prosthodontics
Candidates with proficiency in these areas will be well-positioned to provide quality continuing care for our patients and will be reimbursed at a 45% remuneration rate. Historically, our yearly associate earnings are in the $270,000 to $450,000 range. Signing bonuses are available.
Modern Facility & Technology
The clinic is fully digital featuring CEREC, Primescan, digital X-rays, Pan and CBCT, soft tissue laser, Digital Doc IRIS intraoral cameras, Canon DSLR digital photography, Porter Nitrous Oxide sedation and VELscope. All supported by Dentrix practice management software. Upcoming additional technologies include iTero and 3D printing.
Strong Team & Mentorship
Work alongside 3 general dentists, registered dental hygienists, registered dental assistants, and a dedicated administrative team. Our team also includes a part-time oral surgeon, periodontist and anesthetist. Our clinic is mentorship-friendly and open to new graduates ready to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.
Established Patient Demand
Our clinic offers a fully booked, structured schedule with a shared active patient base of over 4700 patients, with a steady flow of new patient referrals.
