Position Summary

We are seeking a Full-Time Driver to join our team. The shifts are Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm. The wage range is $25 - $25.50 per hour, plus up to $3 per unit delivery bonus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Driving 3-ton and 5-ton cube vans
  • Deliveries of doors and other building products as dictated by the needs of the business.
  • Superior customer service while driving and delivering materials and products.
  • Perform safety pre-trip inspections on Slegg vehicles.
  • Loading and unloading of trucks
  • General housekeeping duties, or various yard and warehouse tasks as required or directed by management.
  • Assist shipper with loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Deliver materials to the satisfaction of customers and maintain an emphasis on safety, service, and efficiency.
  • Communicate with customers and other trades on construction sites.
  • Verify load security and accuracy.
  • Maintain contact with shipper and work to resolve issues as they arise.
  • Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Basic Requirements:

  • Previous driver experience
  • Flexible work hours each day in order to complete necessary delivery orders.
  • Fall protection is an asset.
  • Minimum valid Class 5 BC Drivers licence
  • Forklift operation experience an asset.
  • Previous driver and roll off experience.
  • Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift and carry up to 100lbs.
    • Sitting and driving for extended periods of time.
    • Frequent climbing up and down stairs.
    • Pulling, pushing, bending, and twisting movements to transfer building materials between truck and job site.
