As a Strategy & Analytics Intern, you will play a key role in optimizing business processes and supporting strategic initiatives. You'll gain hands-on experience in data analysis, process improvement, and AI automation, working alongside experienced professionals. Job Description

What you'll do

  • Help map, analyze, and document operational processes across procurement, fulfillment, and internal support functions.

  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, recommending and supporting the implementation of process improvements and automation.

  • Collect, clean, and analyze operational data to uncover trends and performance drivers.

  • Assist in designing dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools to provide actionable insights.

  • Conduct ad-hoc data analysis to support strategic decision-making and project evaluations.

  • Contribute to the management of operational tools and systems, ensuring data integrity and usability.

  • Support special Procurement and Travel initiatives, creating job aids and communications for end users.

  • Evaluate workflows for AI automation opportunities and research emerging AI tools to recommend solutions.

What you'll bring

Required

  • Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate data findings into clear, actionable business recommendations.

  • Passion for understanding and streamlining complex business workflows.

  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, BI Tools) and methodologies.

  • Understanding of business process improvement principles (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Agile).

  • Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Collaborative mindset and openness to feedback.

  • Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Preferred

  • Degree Preferred - Currently enrolled in a Business or Management program (degree preferred).

  • Experience leveraging generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Glean) to streamline workflows.

  • Interest in technology innovation and operational excellence.

The Canadian CAD base salary range for this full-time position is $50,000 - $62,000 . Your base pay will depend on your experience, skills, education, training, and location among other factors. All full-time positions or part-time roles working 30 hours or more a week at Guidewire are eligible for benefits that support their health and well-being including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a company sponsored retirement plan. In addition, some roles may be eligible for the annual company bonus plan, commissions, and/or long term incentive awards which are contingent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, company and employee performance.
