Job Summary:
The Office Support Staff (OSS) will act as a first point of contact at the front office and will be responsible for all reception duties, such as answering phone calls on a multi-line system, dealing with and resolving customer inquiries, and coordinating events on behalf of managerial staff. In the day-to-day, the OSS will be responsible for arranging courier shipments, distributing incoming faxes, handling mail, and scanning documents. You must have a strong attention to detail, work ethic, and be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position entails relief help in other departments on an as-needed basis.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm; this is a full-time office role based in Edmonton.

What you will do day-to-day:
- Prepare reports, assisting with data entry as required (updating customer ship-to locations, maintaining daily prices in the system, programming proprietary access devices).
- Scanning documents and arranging PDFs in easy to parse formats.
- Provide or obtain information from a variety of external and internal contacts, which may include basic research and review of documents.
- Sourcing and ordering, and maintaining office supplies and other items upon request.
- Sorting, sending, and picking up mail at the mailbox.
- Answer the telephone and electronic messages and relay them to the relevant party.
- Basic office cleanup (i.e., wiping down high-touch surfaces).
- Assist other departments as required.
- Other related duties as required or assigned.
What you need to succeed:
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience
- 1+ years' reception and customer service experience.
Other Skills (Knowledge)
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and e-mail required.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
