The Opportunity

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Focus on the delivery of civil site development projects and will assist in the design, construction, and project management of a wide variety of projects involving grading design, stormwater design, erosion control design culvert design, and pavement design, etc
  • Contribute to the planning and design of complex site development projects, including emerging and large-scale nuclear facilities
  • Professional will have hands-on involvement in permitting process
  • Professional will have significant interaction with multi- disciplinary internal teams and external clients

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform design of projects from the conceptual and bid phase through design completion for project needs and requirements that are set by the project managers based off client needs
  • Assist the Engineering Manager in maintaining project schedules and budgets
  • Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, interface directly with the client or sub-consultants
  • Support business development through writing of technical approaches, scopes of work, and presentation to clients
  • Responsible for effective communication with other engineering disciplines and project team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Licensed PE or ability and interest to obtain PE and/or be in active pursuit of registration
  • Thorough understanding of civil site development (i.e., Site Plans, Permitting, Grading, Storm Water Management, Storm Water Design)
  • Experience supporting or managing nuclear site development projects, including familiarity with regulatory requirements and safety protocol
Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 1 year related work experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Certifications

Licensed Professional Engineer or be in active pursuit of registration

Work Environment/Physical Demands
  • Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.
  • Typical office/home office environment. Physical Demands: Sitting, talking, grasping, hearing, keyboard input, driving, seeing, writing, reaching, stooping, crouching, walking, standing for extended periods of time.
  • May require travel to local and regional client sites.

In accordance with local law, the following Annual compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: $91,076.00 CAD - $141,076.00 CAD
