We're seeking a Partnership Development Manager to play a critical role in expanding SONA's partner ecosystem and driving revenue growth. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience working with credit unions, banks, or financial institutions, brings sales or relationship management experience, and thrives in a role that blends strategy, partnership building, and execution.
The Partnership Development Manager owns the end-to-end partner experience, from onboarding and enablement to ongoing performance optimization. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to referral partners and an internal advocate who collaborates cross-functionally to ensure partner success. This role will focus on retaining, expanding, and acquiring referral partners that generate qualified leads for SONA while strengthening long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.

Responsibilities
- Own and grow referral partner relationships to increase qualified lead flow and revenue for SONA
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned partners, building trusted, long-term relationships
- Onboard, train, and enable new referral partners to ensure fast, effective ramp-up and ongoing success
- Proactively manage partner retention by removing friction from sales cycles and anticipating issues before they escalate
- Provide regular performance reporting and insights to referral partners and internal leadership
- Maintain accurate, high-quality CRM data, reporting integrity, and partner access controls
- Act as an internal advocate and liaison for referral partners, aligning cross-functional teams to partner needs
- Research, source, and develop new referral partnerships that align with SONA's ideal lead profile
- Deliver virtual and in-person presentations, trainings, and information sessions for partners and prospects
- Balance multiple partner priorities and initiatives while driving scalable, sustainable growth
Experience & Requirements
- Previous professional experience in a similar role
- Strong relationship management and customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Comfort presenting to both small and large audiences
- Ability to manage multiple partners, priorities, and deadlines
- High attention to detail with a strong bias toward execution
- Experience working cross-functionally to deliver partner and customer outcomes
- Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and Google Suite
Reports to: Director of Partnerships
Compensation: base salary starting at $60,000 CAD + variable, performance-based earnings
Location: Halifax, NS
Hours: Onsite, M-F, 9am-5pm
