Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect equipment for defects and report any issues immediately.
- Receive, identify, and accurately sort incoming inventory.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
- Pick and pack orders according to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds, regularly.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the use of PPE.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Experience in the logistics industry is advantageous.
Working Conditions:
This role involves extensive physical activity including frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Must be comfortable working in various temperature conditions. Safety is paramount, and all employees are expected to follow strict safety protocols, including wearing required PPE at all times.
