About
We are seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as Picker/Packers in our state-of-the-art facility in San Jose, California. As a Picker/Packer, you will be an essential part of our logistics and fulfillment operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. This role involves moving throughout the warehouse to accurately pick items for customer orders. You will be responsible for reading order sheets, locating the correct items in the warehouse, and preparing them for shipment. Attention to detail is paramount to ensure order accuracy. Responsibilities include using handheld scanners to track inventory, carefully packaging items to prevent damage during transit, and moving picked items to designated packing stations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and possess good organizational skills. We are committed to workplace safety and require all employees to adhere to safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role may involve significant standing, walking, and lifting. Experience with warehouse management systems is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products for customer orders using pick lists or scanning equipment.
- Inspect products for damage before packing.
- Package items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring protection during transit.
- Label packages correctly for shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations.
- Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role preferred.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Proficiency with handheld scanners.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Basic understanding of logistics principles is helpful.
Physical Demands: This position requires the ability to perform frequent lifting, standing, walking, and bending. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently.
