About
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Indianapolis, Indiana. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is critical to our supply chain operations, ensuring timely and correct shipments. You will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing handheld scanners and other equipment to locate and retrieve items. Your attention to detail will directly impact customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Strong adherence to safety protocols is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Identify and locate products within the warehouse.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks or order pickers (training provided if needed).
- Ensure all picked items are accounted for and correctly staged for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform inventory counts as required.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to supervisors immediately.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Basic math skills for inventory checks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following all regulations.
