We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Houston, Texas. This role is critical to the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring the safe and timely movement of goods. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of forklift operation, warehouse procedures, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This position requires attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Your primary focus will be on loading and unloading trucks, stocking and retrieving inventory, and assisting with order fulfillment. We value safety above all else and expect all team members to adhere strictly to all safety protocols and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Stock and retrieve inventory from designated storage areas.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in ongoing training related to safety and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and meet deadlines.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
