Our dynamic warehouse in Baltimore, Maryland is seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our growing team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is critical to our overall logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate movement of goods within the facility. You will work closely with warehouse associates and supervisors to maintain optimal workflow and inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe forklift operation and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures. We are committed to maintaining a safe working environment and expect all employees to adhere strictly to all safety protocols and regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves significant manual labor and requires the ability to perform moderate to heavy Lifting throughout the shift. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to load and unload materials and products.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Accurately stack and store merchandise in designated locations.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Understand and follow directions for various logistics tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification (e.g., OSHA).
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical condition with the ability to perform strenuous tasks, including frequent Lifting.
- Commitment to Safety and wearing required PPE.
