We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist for our Boise, Idaho location. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring the overall integrity of our stock. Your efforts will directly impact the efficiency of our logistics and supply chain operations, preventing stockouts and minimizing overstock situations. A proactive approach to identifying and resolving inventory issues is essential. You will work closely with warehouse staff and management to uphold high standards of accuracy and Safety. Your dedication to precision is key to this role.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and accurately.
- Maintain precise inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Monitor inventory levels and identify potential stockouts or overstock situations.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and policies.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and warehouse teams to ensure accurate flow of goods.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist in the development and implementation of inventory management strategies.
- Support logistics operations by ensuring accurate stock availability.
- Perform occasional manual Lifting as needed for inventory verification.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related logistics role.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Must be able to wear required PPE.
