You will be responsible for receiving, organizing, and dispatching goods, playing a vital role in our overall logistics operation. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials.
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Stage materials for shipping or production.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by tracking material movement.
- Ensure warehouse organization and cleanliness, keeping work areas clear and safe.
- Perform routine checks on material handling equipment and report any issues.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Wear appropriate PPE , including safety vests, gloves, and eye protection.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts.
- Handle packages and materials, involving significant lifting and manual manipulation.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety standards.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE .
