In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items for customer orders and preparing them for shipment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Label packages accurately for shipment.
- Operate hand-held scanners to track inventory and order progress.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and work area.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as stocking or inventory checks.
- Proper use of PPE to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
- Contribute to overall team goals and efficient logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse/logistics environment is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and understand order tickets and product labels.
- Familiarity with scanning equipment is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Must be able to perform lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
- Good communication skills.
- Commitment to safety and wearing required PPE.
