Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Material Handler to join our busy distribution center in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement of materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring a steady flow of goods to support our logistics operations. You will operate various material handling equipment and contribute to maintaining an organized and safe working environment. This position requires physical stamina and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and other transportation vehicles.
  • Move materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
  • Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
  • Assist with inventory control and cycle counting.
  • Ensure that materials are properly identified, tagged, and stored.
  • Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Follow all safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE, and report any hazards immediately.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse and work areas.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving functions as needed.
  • Perform routine checks and maintenance on material handling equipment.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Must be able to perform frequent lifting of up to 60 pounds.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent physical condition with the ability to stand, walk, lift, and move for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles is a plus.
