Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other transportation vehicles.
- Move materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counting.
- Ensure that materials are properly identified, tagged, and stored.
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
- Follow all safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE, and report any hazards immediately.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse and work areas.
- Assist with shipping and receiving functions as needed.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on material handling equipment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Must be able to perform frequent lifting of up to 60 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent physical condition with the ability to stand, walk, lift, and move for extended periods.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles is a plus.
This role is critical to our logistics chain, requiring a focus on safety, efficiency, and material handling expertise.
