As a Customs and Border Protection Officer (CBPO), you will play a vital role in safeguarding the nation's borders, enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws, while facilitating legitimate trade and travel. You will work closely with other law enforcement agencies to prevent smuggling of illegal drugs, contraband, and individuals.
Typical Assignments:
- Enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws by conducting inspections of individuals
- Determine admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States
- Prevent illegal entry of prohibited goods
