About
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the pharmacy operations within a hospital or clinical setting. You will assist pharmacists in providing high-quality patient care by ensuring the accurate preparation and dispensing of medications, as well as offering exceptional patient service. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of medical terminology and pharmacy practices, along with experience in acute or critical care environments.
*Responsibilities*
* Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
* Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries and ensuring patient needs are met.
* Utilize aseptic technique when compounding sterile products to maintain safety and compliance.
* Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient care activities.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal medication management for patients.
* Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies.
* Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and hospital policies related to pharmacy operations.
*Experience*
* Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
* Familiarity with medical terminology, acute care, critical care, and medication administration is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Knowledge of inhalation therapies and their application in patient treatment is an asset.
