Your Role: Key Accountabilities- Collaborate with the Senior Team to ensure food is delivered to the highest standards.
- Coach and develop CDPs and Commis Chefs, leading by example.
- Regularly check section standards, ensuring audits and temperature checks are completed.
- Take ownership of stocktake and provide key feedback to the Head Chef.
- Proactively identify pinch points in the kitchen and communicate them to your line manager.
- Assist Senior Chefs in producing monthly kitchen reports.
- Foster a collaborative partnership between front and back of house.
- Ensure effective communication so teams are aware of the menu.
- Exhibit high levels of planning, organization, and time management.
- Adhere to company policies, controls, and standards (e.g., due diligence, cleanliness, and HSE).
- Monitor and maintain inventory, highlighting issues to Senior Chefs.
- Provide regular feedback and coaching to the team, recognizing achievements.
- Identify training needs within your team.
- Experience as a Sous Chef in a quality restaurant.
- A willingness to learn, grow, and teach others.
- A passion for food and culinary excellence.
- Strong longevity with past employers.
- Commitment to maintaining Food Safety standards.
