Job Summary:
Join our Des Moines, Iowa facility as a Forklift Operator! We are seeking experienced and safety-conscious individuals to manage the movement of materials within our warehouse. This role is critical to the efficiency of our logistics operations, ensuring that goods are handled properly from receiving to dispatch. You will operate forklifts to transport inventory, load/unload trailers, and support overall warehouse organization. Safety is our top priority; therefore, all operators must possess valid certification, demonstrate proficiency, and strictly adhere to safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE. Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate forklifts to transport, stack, and store materials.
  • Load and unload merchandise from delivery trucks and trailers.
  • Assist in organizing warehouse inventory and optimizing storage space.
  • Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
  • Ensure accuracy in moving and staging of goods for shipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Follow all company safety protocols and OSHA requirements.
  • Wear all required PPE consistently and correctly.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve logistics goals.
  • Perform general warehouse duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Current and valid forklift operator certification.
  • Demonstrable experience in operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Capability for lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • In-depth knowledge of safe forklift operation and warehouse safety best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Commitment to safety and vigilant use of PPE.
  • Understanding of logistics principles and inventory management is beneficial.
  • Ability to work flexible hours if needed.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
