We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Forklift Operator in Sacramento, California! Join our dedicated logistics team and contribute to the seamless flow of products within our busy warehouse. This role requires a highly competent operator with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency. You will be instrumental in managing inventory and ensuring timely shipment of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and proficiently to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments accurately.
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse according to established procedures.
- Conduct thorough pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate inventory data through scanning and system updates.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from obstructions to ensure safety.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with other warehouse duties to support overall logistics operations.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience operating forklifts in a professional setting.
- Current forklift certification required.
- Willingness and ability to perform lifting tasks, including items up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to remain standing and actively engaged for the duration of the shift.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic logistics environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in all tasks.
- Good teamwork and communication skills are necessary.
