Job Summary:
We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, load, unload, and store materials within our distribution center. Your expertise is vital to maintaining a smooth workflow and ensuring the integrity of our inventory. You will work closely with our warehouse staff to support all aspects of our supply chain operations, adhering strictly to safety regulations and best practices. Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) to move pallets, cases, and other materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring that all goods are handled safely and securely.
  • Transport materials to and from designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
  • Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any defects or maintenance needs immediately.
  • Assist with receiving, stocking, and put-away processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
  • Adhere rigorously to all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and warehouse procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate effectively with supervisors and team members to optimize workflow and productivity in our logistics operations.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks as needed, such as cycle counts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • Valid forklift certification is required.
  • Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 60 lbs.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices in logistics.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and spatial awareness.
  • Reliable, punctual, and possessing a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours and occasional overtime.
