You will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, stage, and load materials, ensuring accuracy and safety in all movements. The ideal candidate is experienced, safety-conscious, and possesses a strong understanding of warehouse logistics. Key responsibilities include performing daily equipment inspections, adhering to strict safety protocols, and collaborating with other team members to meet operational goals. Compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, is non-negotiable. This position involves significant lifting and maneuvering of various materials, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Stage products for shipping and receiving.
- Perform routine pre-operation checks and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock placement.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse staff to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
- Handle physical demands including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating forklifts (sit-down, stand-up).
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and the correct use of PPE.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding role.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with effective communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
