About
We are seeking a skilled and certified Forklift Operator for our key distribution center in Provo, Utah. This vital role ensures the smooth and safe movement of materials throughout our facility, supporting our extensive logistics network. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts to load and unload inbound and outbound shipments, transporting inventory to and from storage areas, and assisting with stock replenishment. A strong emphasis is placed on workplace Safety; you will be required to strictly follow all safety protocols, conduct daily equipment checks, and ensure the correct use of all required PPE. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification, a minimum of one year of experience, and a keen understanding of warehouse operations. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential hazards are essential. This position is critical to maintaining efficient operations and ensuring the timely flow of goods within our logistics chain. Your expertise is valued.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to move palletized goods.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring accuracy and proper handling.
- Transport materials to and from designated warehouse locations.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including put-away and stock rotation.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures rigorously.
- Utilize all required PPE correctly and consistently.
- Collaborate effectively with warehouse associates and supervisors.
- Support the efficient operation of the overall Logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current and valid forklift operator certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable forklift operating experience.
- Solid understanding of warehouse safety procedures and Logistics best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as needed.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong commitment to workplace Safety.
- Proficiency in using and maintaining required PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
