Job Summary:
Our busy distribution center in Durham, North Carolina, is seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist. This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, ensuring that we have the right products in the right place at the right time. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing inventory levels, and implementing procedures to minimize stockouts and reduce waste. Your efforts will directly impact the efficiency of our logistics operations and contribute to customer satisfaction by ensuring order accuracy and product availability. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and possesses strong organizational skills. We are committed to a Safe working environment and require all employees to adhere to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves tasks that require precision and may include moderate Lifting of inventory items. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Develop and implement procedures for effective inventory control.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report on stock status and potential issues.
  • Identify and manage damaged or expired goods.
  • Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure accurate intake.
  • Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to optimize inventory flow.
  • Adhere strictly to all Safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
  • Perform tasks requiring occasional Lifting of up to 35 pounds.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in inventory management a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and inventory tracking tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Understanding of general logistics principles.
  • Commitment to maintaining a Safe and organized workplace.
  • Willingness to comply with all Safety requirements and wear appropriate PPE.
