About
We are seeking a strong and reliable Material Handler to join our bustling Houston, Texas warehouse. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the movement of goods throughout the facility, ensuring that materials are transported efficiently and safely. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, supporting receiving, storage, and shipping functions. You will handle a variety of tasks involving the movement and organization of inventory in a dynamic warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Move materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Stage materials for production, shipping, or receiving areas.
- Organize inventory and ensure proper stock rotation.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all established Safety procedures and company guidelines.
- Proper use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential for your Safety.
- Must be able to perform significant manual Lifting, up to 60 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment (certification may be required for some equipment).
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual Lifting.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Attention to detail and commitment to Safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety regulations.
