Resident Project Engineer / Construction Advisor (Rotational)

Schedule:
2 weeks on, 2 weeks off (7 days/week) with accommodation + meals provided.

Summary:

Works closely with the the Owner's Team, the EPC and the key contractors during execution of a large, complex energy construction project. The role provides field-based advisory oversight to ensure construction activities are aligned with licensed technology requirements, project specifications, approved procedures, and execution best practices.

This position is advisory and coordination-focused, bridging engineering/technical, construction, and execution interfaces while supporting safe, efficient, and compliant site delivery.

Construction Surveillance & Field Support

  • Provide continuous field presence to observe construction activities and support safe, compliant execution
  • Verify construction work aligns with approved drawings, specifications, procedures, and licensor requirements
  • Provide practical, experience-based input to support constructability, sequencing, and workface efficiency
  • Identify execution risks, access constraints, sequencing conflicts, or interface gaps and support timely resolution

Compliance, Quality & Field Issue Support

  • Support consistent application of licensor and project requirements within site construction activities
  • Assist with review and clarification of field queries, RFIs, and site-driven deviations impacting licensed scope
  • Observe and support resolution of non-conformances in coordination with Owner and EPC site teams

Progress Monitoring, Reporting & Issue Resolution

  • Monitor construction progress across licensed scope and key interfaces, with a focus on field execution status
  • Provide clear, concise site-based updates to the Owner's team on progress, risks, and constraints
  • Support issue tracking, action closure, and coordination of site-driven resolutions
  • Contribute to daily, weekly, and milestone-based site reports and readiness reviews

Required Experience

  • 7+ years of construction experience on large industrial or energy projects
  • Strong site-based background working alongside EPC construction teams and Owner representatives
  • Proven experience in construction surveillance, field coordination, or site liaison roles

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting licensor, technology provider, or specialist oversight roles in the field
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Construction related field
  • Familiarity with pre-commissioning, commissioning, and construction activities
  • Canada
