Join our Houston, Texas team as a Receiving Clerk and be at the forefront of our inbound logistics operations. This role is crucial for ensuring that all incoming goods are received accurately, inspected thoroughly, and processed efficiently into our inventory system. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and possess a strong commitment to Safety. You will be responsible for verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and accurately logging received items. This position requires the ability to perform regular manual Lifting and operate basic warehouse equipment. A good understanding of warehouse procedures and our overall Logistics flow is essential for success. We maintain a safe working environment, and strict adherence to all Safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE, is expected. Your accuracy and diligence directly impact inventory integrity and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments.
- Verify incoming goods against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Inspect goods for damage and report discrepancies.
- Accurately record received items in the inventory system.
- Organize and stage incoming inventory for put-away.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and company policies.
- Properly use all required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and checks.
- Contribute to the efficient flow of our Logistics chain.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, or logistics preferred.
- Ability to perform manual Lifting and material handling.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse procedures and Safety practices.
- Knowledge of PPE and its importance.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
