Job Summary:
Our Columbus, Ohio facility is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our dynamic logistics team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient handling of all incoming and outgoing shipments. Your duties will include receiving deliveries, verifying contents against purchase orders, stocking received goods, and preparing outgoing shipments, including proper labeling and documentation. You will work with a variety of warehouse equipment and systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency. A strong understanding of inventory control and logistics procedures is essential. We are committed to maintaining a safe working environment, and all employees must adhere to strict safety protocols, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This position requires physical stamina, the ability to perform lifting, and a keen eye for detail. You will collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure the smooth flow of goods through our supply chain. Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments.
  • Verify quantities and product information against shipping documents.
  • Accurately document and log all received items into inventory systems.
  • Stock received goods in appropriate warehouse locations.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments for carriers.
  • Generate shipping labels and necessary documentation.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Ensure the shipping and receiving areas are clean, organized, and safe.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
  • Must be capable of regular lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Coordinate with logistics partners for pick-ups and deliveries.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
  • Forklift certification is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and willingness to use PPE.
