About
We are looking for a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our Los Angeles, California logistics team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within our warehouse. You will ensure that materials are transported accurately and safely, contributing directly to the smooth flow of operations. Key responsibilities include performing pre-operation inspections, maintaining equipment, and adhering to strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries. You will work closely with warehouse associates and management to coordinate the movement of goods, ensuring timely loading and unloading of trucks. A thorough understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment are paramount. This role requires precision, vigilance, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. We expect all team members to wear appropriate PPE and follow all logistics safety guidelines. Regular lifting will also be part of the job, in addition to forklift operation. Your expertise will be invaluable in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into warehouse storage.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklift equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times while operating machinery.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Support overall logistics and supply chain operations.
- Be prepared for lifting tasks and material handling beyond forklift operation.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to material handling.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to comply with all PPE requirements.
