Join our team as a Shipping & Receiving Associate in Columbus, Ohio. This dynamic role is at the heart of our logistics operations, managing both the incoming and outgoing flow of goods. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate receiving of products, efficient storage, and timely dispatch of shipments. Key duties include operating dock doors, inspecting incoming and outgoing freight, verifying documentation, and coordinating with carriers. We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and safety-conscious individual. Strong communication skills are essential for liaising with carriers and internal teams. This position involves physical work, including Lifting and moving materials, and requires a commitment to adhering to all Safety protocols. Experience with WMS systems, forklifts, and shipping/receiving procedures is highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload all inbound shipments.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage and discrepancies.
- Verify received items against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Stock merchandise in designated warehouse areas.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling and documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain accurate records of all inbound and outbound transactions.
- Adhere to strict Safety procedures and utilize all required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations.
- Experience operating forklifts and other heavy machinery (certification required).
- Proficiency with WMS and other logistics software.
- Strong understanding of Safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to perform consistent Lifting of items up to 60 lbs.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to identify discrepancies.
