About
Become an Order Picker at our busy distribution center in New York City, New York. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting items to fulfill customer orders. Your attention to detail and speed are crucial to our logistics operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction. You will utilize an RF scanner or pick list to locate and retrieve products from warehouse shelves, ensuring that the correct items and quantities are picked. This physically demanding position requires the ability to navigate the warehouse, perform repetitive motions, and handle Lifting tasks throughout your shift. We are looking for individuals who are energetic, reliable, and committed to accuracy. A strong work ethic and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential. We maintain a strong focus on workplace Safety and expect all employees to follow established procedures and wear appropriate PPE. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using an RF scanner or pick list.
- Locate products in various warehouse locations efficiently.
- Verify item numbers and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the packing or shipping stations.
- Repack or consolidate items as needed for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate manual pallet jacks or other assigned equipment.
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines and wear mandatory PPE.
- Meet or exceed picking productivity goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of items up to 35 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Physically fit and able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of warehouse Safety practices.
- Team-oriented and reliable.
