About
We are hiring a skilled Material Handler for our bustling Los Angeles, California warehouse. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the movement of materials throughout the facility, ensuring a steady flow of goods for production and distribution. Your duties will include loading, unloading, staging, and transporting materials using various equipment. A strong emphasis is placed on Safety and efficiency. If you have experience operating forklifts or other heavy machinery and are committed to maintaining a secure and productive work environment, we encourage you to apply. Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment skillfully.
- Stage materials for production, order picking, or shipping.
- Transport materials to designated areas as requested.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from hazards.
- Adhere to all Safety procedures and company policies.
- Wear all required PPE at all times.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving heavy Lifting and physical exertion.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 75 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and awareness of Safety protocols.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining a Safe and efficient workplace.
