We are seeking an efficient Order Picker to join our logistics team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your role is vital to ensuring that our customers receive their products promptly and correctly. This involves navigating the warehouse, identifying specific products using order lists or scanning technology, and ensuring items are prepared for the packing and shipping stages. A strong focus on safety and attention to detail is essential. This position is ideal for individuals who are agile, possess good spatial awareness, and thrive in an active environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse shelves using pick lists or scanners.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Operate order picking equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) safely.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety and PPE guidelines.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to a supervisor immediately.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Capability of lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Basic reading and comprehension skills to interpret pick lists.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Must be willing to wear required PPE.
