Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to maintain and optimize the operations of our state-of-the-art facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is a critical role for ensuring the smooth functioning of our logistics processes. You will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and troubleshooting of warehouse equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency. Your expertise will directly contribute to our commitment to safety and operational excellence. Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on warehouse machinery and equipment (e.g., conveyors, sortation systems, forklifts).
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and company safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to minimize downtime and address equipment needs promptly.
  • Implement preventative maintenance schedules to reduce unexpected failures.
  • Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely when necessary for maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the warehouse and logistics environment.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in mechanics or electronics are a strong asset.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Commitment to safety procedures and the ability to enforce them.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to perform moderate lifting and work in various warehouse conditions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
