Join our busy warehouse team as an Order Picker in Baltimore, Maryland! We are seeking a motivated individual to accurately select and prepare customer orders for shipment within our fast-paced logistics facility. Your primary role will involve using scanning devices to locate and retrieve products from shelves, ensuring order accuracy and efficiency. This position is crucial for maintaining customer satisfaction and the overall success of our operations. A strong commitment to safety is required, and you will be trained on proper lifting techniques and the mandatory use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on order tickets or scanner data.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for shipment, using appropriate packing materials.
- Operate pallet jacks and other manual equipment to move inventory as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and stock checks.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting and the use of PPE.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damaged goods to a supervisor promptly.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet daily picking and packing goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse setting is beneficial.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods in a warehouse environment.
- Understanding of safe lifting practices and general warehouse safety protocols.
- Must wear required PPE at all times.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
