About
Become an integral part of our Houston, Texas logistics operations as a Material Handler. This role is critical for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating equipment to move, locate, replenish, and stage materials. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and capable of performing tasks that involve significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting and maneuvering of heavy items. Proficiency with various types of warehouse machinery, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, is essential (certification may be required). We maintain a steadfast commitment to workplace safety; adherence to all safety regulations and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This is a demanding but rewarding position offering stability and growth within the logistics sector.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers with incoming and outgoing materials.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production areas, and shipping docks.
- Pick and stage materials for order fulfillment and production needs.
- Assist with inventory control by accurately tracking material movements.
- Ensure that all materials are handled and stored correctly to prevent damage or loss.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, free from hazards.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on material handling equipment.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize material flow and workflow efficiency.
We are looking for experienced Material Handlers with a strong understanding of warehouse logistics and material flow. A valid forklift certification is highly preferred.
