Are you a fast and accurate mover? Join our team in Madison, Wisconsin, as an Order Picker! This role is the engine of our warehouse operations, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled quickly and correctly. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for locating, retrieving, and staging items for shipment, utilizing pick lists or scanning technology. Efficiency, accuracy, and a strong attention to detail are key to success in this role. You will be working in a dynamic environment, often requiring the ability to work at a steady pace and handle frequent Lifting of goods. A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workspace is essential. We provide comprehensive training on our systems and procedures, but prior experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is a definite plus. Your dedication to safety is crucial; you must adhere to all company safety regulations and wear the provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute directly to our logistics success and develop valuable skills.
Responsibilities:
- Read pick orders or use a scanner to identify and locate items needed for customer orders.
- Retrieve items from warehouse shelves and storage locations accurately.
- Stage picked items in designated areas for packing and shipping.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order requirements.
- Operate pallet jacks and other manual equipment to move items.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Report any issues with inventory or equipment to the supervisor.
- Contribute to team goals and overall warehouse efficiency.
