Join our Houston, Texas facility as an Inventory Control Specialist and play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse stock. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong analytical mindset and a commitment to process excellence. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, reconciling inventory discrepancies, and implementing strategies to minimize stockouts and overstock situations. Your work will directly impact our supply chain efficiency and ensure that we have the right products available when our customers need them. This role involves working closely with warehouse staff and management to improve inventory accuracy and operational flow. A thorough understanding of inventory management software and logistics principles is essential. We prioritize a safe working environment, and strict adherence to Safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE, is mandatory. This role involves frequent Lifting of items for counting and auditing purposes.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
- Ensure accurate data entry into inventory management systems.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to optimize stock levels.
- Monitor stock rotation and identify obsolete or slow-moving items.
- Assist in developing and executing inventory reduction strategies.
- Uphold Safety standards and properly utilize PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Ability to perform Lifting and work in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of Safety practices and PPE usage.
