About
Our Dallas, Texas facility is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to oversee and manage all aspects of our inventory operations. This critical role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our stock levels, supporting our broader logistics objectives. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, implementing process improvements, and maintaining accurate inventory records in our Warehouse Management System (WMS). You will work closely with warehouse staff, management, and other departments to identify potential issues and implement solutions. A keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential. This position requires a deep understanding of inventory management principles and best practices within a warehouse setting. The ideal candidate will be adept at using technology, including WMS and scanning equipment. Adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Implement and refine inventory control procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory data within the WMS.
- Analyze inventory levels and identify potential shortages or overages.
- Collaborate with operations teams to improve inventory accuracy.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of all inventory items.
- Monitor stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) as applicable.
- Generate inventory reports for management.
- Uphold all safety standards, including the correct use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management techniques. Experience with RF scanning equipment. Ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 40 pounds). Excellent organizational and communication skills. Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles. Detail-oriented and highly accurate. Commitment to workplace safety is essential.
