We are seeking a skilled and certified Forklift Operator to join our advanced logistics facility in Portland, Oregon. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in the safe and efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. Your expertise in operating forklifts and other heavy machinery will be essential for handling materials, loading and unloading shipments, and maintaining organized storage. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and proficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers accurately and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated staging, storage, and production areas.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock organization.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all Safety standards.
- Follow all company logistics procedures and protocols.
- Wear and properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform physical tasks as needed, including occasional Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure operational flow and meet deadlines.
- Comply with all traffic and safety regulations within the facility.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification is mandatory.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of forklift operating techniques and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and moderate Lifting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to Safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.
- Experience with different types of forklifts (e.g., reach, sit-down, stand-up) is a plus.
