Join our Fort Worth, Texas warehouse as a Material Handler! This position is key to the smooth operation of our logistics and distribution center. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, staging, and storing a variety of materials. You will utilize various equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified), to move goods efficiently and safely throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, and dedicated to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Your role is fundamental in ensuring inventory accuracy and timely order fulfillment. You will work closely with the receiving, shipping, and inventory control teams to manage the flow of goods. We emphasize a strong safety culture, requiring adherence to all guidelines and the consistent use of appropriate PPE. This role involves significant physical activity and is perfect for someone who enjoys an active job within the logistics sector.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials from various transportation modes.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage and verify quantities against purchase orders.
- Stage materials for put-away, production, or shipping.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
- Store materials in designated locations within the warehouse, ensuring proper organization.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock checks.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Identify and report any damaged or missing inventory promptly.
- Support logistics operations by ensuring materials are readily available when needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks and other manual material handling equipment.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and safety protocols.
- Willingness to wear required PPE and follow all safety guidelines.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
