We are seeking a dedicated Order Picker to join our logistics facility in Madison, Wisconsin. As an Order Picker, you will be essential in ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. Your primary responsibilities will include locating, picking, and preparing items for shipment. We emphasize a safe working environment and provide comprehensive training, including proper Lifting techniques, and all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on order requirements using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify item numbers, quantities, and descriptions to ensure order accuracy.
- Stage picked items in designated areas for packing and shipping.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness within assigned picking zones.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damaged items to supervisors promptly.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely as required (e.g., pallet jacks).
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory control activities such as cycle counting.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is a plus.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
- Understanding of basic warehouse logistics and procedures.
- Strong commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
