Eaton's North American Sales division is currently seeking an Applications Engineer to join the team. This position will support the Florida territory and can be based in the Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, or Deerfield Beach offices. Relocation assistance is available for candidates residing outside a 50-mile radius of the selected location. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to provide technical leadership and product training to distributors and end users. The role also includes responsibility for positioning Eaton's products against competitors and delivering solutions that address customer needs. What You'll Do:
The primary function of the Application Engineer is to achieve acceptability of Eaton's Electrical products in the marketplace, while providing technical leadership for electrical utility distributors and their customers. This position will be responsible for training and applications of Eaton's products and services. This position will be familiar with competitive product offerings and be able to position Eaton products to best compete against competitive products. The primary functions include providing efficient and accurate application and technical support by analyzing and recommending solutions to meet customer's needs; manage daily phone and email activity while providing directions, solutions, and recommendations; effectively communicate product value proposition and product line strategies. You will provide technical support for Eaton products and solutions including submittals drawings and interfacing with electrical distributors and their customers. You will conduct product seminars and training on Eaton products and solutions to: electrical distributors, end users, consultants and sales engineers You will assist customers with design build opportunities. Provide sales support to Distributor Sales Reps (DSR's) and electrical distributors. Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution Minimum seven (7) years of electrical sales and/or electrical engineering experience Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license No relocation assistance will be provided for this role. Candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of either Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, or Deerfield Beach in Florida. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Skillful at leading teams, consensus building, and mentoring Initiative and self-management skills Value selling experience Electrical product knowledge Presentation and training skills Understanding of selling techniques and Eaton's capabilities Technical knowledge regarding the application of Power Systems Products Possess knowledge of products, markets channels and associated applications Ability to travel up to 25% The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. This position has a target total compensation range of $143,250 - $210,000. Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
