Our busy logistics center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is seeking enthusiastic Picker/Packers to join our team! This role is essential for ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for retrieving items from warehouse shelves and preparing them for shipment. Precision, speed, and a commitment to quality are key attributes for success in this position. You will utilize handheld scanners and other equipment to locate products efficiently and ensure order accuracy. This is a hands-on role that involves a significant amount of walking, standing, and lifting. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and be able to meet performance targets. Key duties include accurately identifying and picking products, inspecting items for defects, and packing them securely for transit. Proper packing techniques are crucial to prevent damage during shipping. A strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse safety procedures is important. Frequent lifting of items up to 50 pounds is required, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick orders using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Pack items safely and efficiently, ensuring product integrity.
- Verify product information and quantities against order details.
- Conduct quality checks on picked items.
- Prepare packages for shipment, including labeling and documentation.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and other warehouse tasks.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety and logistics.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
