We are hiring a skilled Material Handler for our busy warehouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the movement and organization of goods within our logistics facility. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, efficient material handling techniques, and a commitment to safety. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and dispatching materials, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Operating various equipment, such as forklifts (if certified) or pallet jacks, will be a key part of your daily tasks. This role demands physical capability, including frequent lifting of items weighing up to 60 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Organize inventory and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare materials for shipment and load onto trucks.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas for safety compliance.
- Adhere to all logistics and safety protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
