As an Order Picker, your primary responsibility will be to accurately and efficiently retrieve items from our extensive inventory to fulfill customer orders. This role is fundamental to our supply chain and customer satisfaction. You will be working alongside a dedicated team, contributing to the overall productivity of our distribution center. Paramount to this role is a strong commitment to safety; adherence to all safety guidelines and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory. The job requires physical stamina, including the ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 45 lbs and stand for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Locate and retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves and storage areas.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order tickets.
- Use hand-held scanners to track inventory and update order status.
- Ensure picked items are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Stage picked items accurately for the packing and shipping process.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Meet daily picking quotas while maintaining high accuracy levels.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory or product issues to supervisors.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed to support overall logistics.
- Work cooperatively with team members to achieve collective goals.
- Follow all instructions to ensure correct and timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in order picking or a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 45 lbs consistently.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to read and understand product labels and order forms.
- Reliable and punctual attendance is required.
- Commitment to following all safety procedures and wearing required PPE.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of logistics and warehouse operations.
