We are seeking motivated Picker/Packers for our busy distribution center in San Jose, California. This role is integral to our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently processed. You will be responsible for selecting items from inventory, verifying order details, and packaging them securely for shipment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, work with a sense of urgency, and be committed to maintaining a safe and organized warehouse. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse inventory using scanning devices or pick lists.
- Inspect items for quality and ensure they match order specifications.
- Pack items securely using appropriate shipping materials to prevent damage.
- Verify the contents of each order before sealing and labeling packages.
- Stage completed orders for the shipping department.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist with stock organization.
- Follow all safety regulations and guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly.
- Meet or exceed daily productivity and accuracy targets.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a picking or packing role within a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Capability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
