Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trailers, transporting inventory to and from storage areas, and assisting with order picking and staging. A thorough understanding of forklift operation, warehouse safety standards, and the importance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential. You will perform routine equipment checks to ensure operational readiness and maintain a clean and organized work environment. This role is physically demanding and requires the ability to lift and move items regularly. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, stock, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload products from trucks and trailers.
- Transport inventory to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with order fulfillment by picking and staging products.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S principles.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
- Accurately record movement of goods as required by warehouse management systems.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the critical role of PPE.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring frequent lifting, standing, and maneuvering.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory management principles.
